Fortune is looking to hire an editor on a temp-to-perm basis to edit, assign, and maintain content for our recently launched and fast-growing personal finance/e-commerce vertical, Fortune Recommends. 

This editor must have an extensive knowledge of personal finance, excellent copy-editing skills, a dedication to creating high quality service journalism, and an understanding of the competitive e-commerce space. They will be responsible for creating the methodology for our lists, keeping them updated, and editing a team of freelancers. They will also work cross functionally with our SEO team to maintain our growing library of content through frequent updates and optimizations. 

The editor must be willing to jump in and help with day-to-day responsibilities like editing freelancer and in-house writers. Finally, we are looking for a team player, as our newsroom thrives on collaboration, experimentation, and telling great stories across platforms.  

As Fruitful’s first brand marketer, you’ll help define and articulate a brand that defies the uninspiring status quo of other financial firms’ marketing. Working across all our marketing channels, you’ll develop and execute creative concepts that cut through the noise and help propel Fruitful from an upstart into a household name. This role puts special emphasis on building Fruitful’s social media presence (both organic and paid) using short-form video. The ideal candidate has a strong track record of growing social media followings (both personally and professionally) and excels at writing crisp, witty, marketing copy.
