The Globe and Mail is seeking an experienced, creative and self-driven audio journalist to work on podcasts coming out of Globe Content Studio, its content marketing division. As a part of the high-performing team, you’ll work on our award-winning podcasts, with an opportunity to produce both editorial shows and branded shows on which we partner with clients. This is a full-time, year-long contract position based in Toronto.

The Washington Post is seeking an editor to join a collaborative team of storytellers working on its award-winning daily news podcast, “Post Reports.” You will ensure that show pitches are transformed into engaging, crisp and illuminating episodes that extend the reach of our world-class journalism. The ideal candidate will also pitch in as necessary on other audio initiatives and podcasts, including our weekday morning briefing, “The 7.”

We’re looking for a supplementary social media manager to support with content creation for our podcast pillar. It’s called Dear Next Gen on Spotify or Apple Podcasts. 

Your role would be to take inspiration from episode topics to create a series of posts in feed and on IG stories that drive back to the full length interview. We’re looking for a self motivated digital community loving individual.

Our ideal partner is an on-going partnership  supporting the team for 2-3 hours a week but can work on a flexible schedule that fits their lifestyle. 

We recently had some lovely social branding created so this new team member would need to have access to Canva pro & be comfortable using brand elements in an original way. (If we wanted to just use all the pre-made templates that’d be boring). Our target audience is primarily Gen Z women so keep that in mind when applying. JAR Audio is looking to develop ongoing working relationships with freelancers with tech, science, finance, medical, and other specialist writing backgrounds. They are ideally looking for people with experience writing for audio formats, and/or writing scripted videos in these subject areas.
