From an unprecedented global pandemic to uncharted explorations of outer space to the ongoing climate crisis, science & health are two topics at the forefront of today’s news. The journalists who cover these stories seek evidence-based answers to the fundamental questions of the body, the world, and the universe: How does it all work? What can the future hold? And how are we all connected?

We’re looking for a writer with experience covering science and/or health for a temporary contract position. Writers who are available to commit to a three-month contract and can file approximately 5-6 stories per week — a mix of breaking news, features, commentary and/or analysis — are encouraged to apply. (The rate is approximately $1,250/week.)

This is a temporary, remote position. We’re looking for a highly-organized, detail- and deadline-oriented professional who knows how to collaborate and communicate effectively using digital tools. Preference will be given to writers with a deep understanding of the scientific process, specializing in one or more of the following areas: astronomy, climate and environment, public and reproductive health, and the intersection of tech and science.

As a freelance journalist writing for Fertility Bridge, you will be responsible for writing one original article per month on various assigned fertility news topics. The rate of pay is fifty cents per word. Each article will be about 500 words in length. The topic will be assigned 1-2 weeks before the article is published.

But how do you know if this is your dream work and if Fertility Bridge is your dream client?

If you answer yes to these three questions:

  1. Do you have experience writing as both a business and healthcare journalist?
  2. Are you a top-notch researcher with a knack for finding sources and information?
  3. Are you excited about the opportunity to contribute to Fertility Bridge?

If you are interested in this role and believe you align with everything above then we encourage you to apply.
